Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup is generating attention months before its official release, with leaks pointing to a significant expansion of the series. Sources suggest the company will introduce two additional variants—the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge—alongside the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra. Early reports indicate that while design updates are prominent, camera enhancements may be minimal.
The Galaxy S26 Edge is expected to replace the traditional Plus model, with leaks claiming it could become one of the slimmest smartphones to date. The previous S25 Edge measured 5.8mm in thickness, but the S26 Edge may shrink further to approximately 5.5mm. Similarly, the S26 Ultra is anticipated to slim down to under 8mm and reduce weight from its current 218 grams.
Dummy units suggest the S26 Pro will maintain a compact profile while adding Qi2 wireless charging magnets, aligning it with features found on Google’s Pixel 10 series. Titanium frames, once exclusive to the Ultra and Edge models, may be introduced across additional variants. Additionally, Samsung could remove the camera rings from the Ultra model, while retaining IP68-rated water and dust resistance.
Screen upgrades are also part of the S26 series. The S26 Pro may increase its display from 6.2 inches to 6.27 inches without compromising portability. The S26 Edge could expand to 6.66 inches, and the S26 Ultra is rumored to sport a 6.89-inch panel with minimal 1.2mm bezels. The Ultra may also feature the third-generation version of Samsung’s anti-reflective glass, improving visibility in bright lighting conditions.
Following its established S-series schedule, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 lineup in January 2026. Pricing is likely to mirror the S25 series, which closely matched the previous generation’s launch prices.
